K G Coating apply a range of different polymer based coating for corrosion and lubricant purposes. Some applications call for a “colour range” to aid in identification of the product. This may be to assist the end user in knowing the heat treatment level or hardness of the underlying product, metric vs imperial, or colour “A” for product “A”, “B” for product B and so on.

Applications for this type of coating so far have been in the identification of
rivets (see photograph) and helicoil inserts.

The same coating range can successfully be applied over zinc plate or other less sophisticated polymers

provide enhanced corrosion resistance and colour identification without affecting final tolerances.

Multi layer coatings have now been developed that can meet the following:

. Up to 2500 hours salt spray
. Control thickness down to 5-10 microns
. Available in a range of colours
